Media, industry, and partners were welcomed to Esquire to experience its impressive offering managed by a collective of hospitality heavyweights – brought together by Trippas White Group – including George Diamond, Group Executive Chef; Damien Worthington, Executive Chef; and Fabio Nistrio, Group Sommelier.
Esquire is the latest of a string of new venues conceived and built by Trippas White Group, including fellow QVB venue Reign Champagne Parlour & Bar, which will celebrate its opening event on 15 May, and the recently opened Yallamundi Rooms at Sydney Opera House. The new venues celebrate the innovative styling, design and ambiance created by Trippas White Group Strategic Concepts Manager, Michael Gebran.
Trippas White Group Managing Director, Joseph Murray, said the launch of Esquire marks a new era of Sydney CBD dining destinations and late-night offerings, and is a significant milestone for the Trippas White Group as it expands into operating its own consumer retail dining venues.
“The recent launches of Esquire Drink + Dine and Reign Champagne Parlour & Bar have defined the company’s pathway and aspirations for further growth as we continue to evolve from a humble hospitality business with institutionalised service excellence and hospitality heritage – our ambitions remain high and our focus on growth is fixed,” he said.

The venue, located on level two of the QVB, is akin to a New York supper club, complete with reimagined modern-Australian comfort classics alongside an array of the world’s best spirits and hand-crafted cocktails.

Located on level two of the QVB, on the Market Street end, entering Esquire feels like stepping into a New York supper club, complete with reimagined modern-Australian comfort classics alongside an array of the world’s best spirits and hand-crafted cocktails. Relish in Esquire’s alluring old-world glamour over a long lunch, post-show drink or late-night dinner. A dark, oak bar framed with mosaic and parquetry flooring, soft leather seating and sensuous low lights all make the most of the QVB’s historical Romanesque revival architecture. Start at the bar and whet your appetite with one of the 100-plus wines, whiskeys and cocktails on the menu. Then tuck into crumbed sweetbreads, a gooey yet crunchy gruyere jaffle, a two-course whole roast chicken for two or a 250g Grainge Signature MB3+ Rump Cap straight from the grill.
